Platform Review for Regional Brokerage
The Challenge: A regional brokerage had a small platform of fund offerings not compelling enough to be competitive. We were engaged to provide recommendations for improvement.
The Solution:
We developed a thorough understanding of the client’s vision for the business and program. The initial focus of our work was in conducting a review of the platform from a top-down perspective and evaluating each fund offering. After our review was completed, we recommended restructuring where necessary and performed manager searches for replacements and additions. The team reviewed the proposed product roster and discussed portfolio construction strategies with staff and financial advisors. Thereafter, we were retained to conduct annual due diligence, quarterly analysis and monitoring for each product on the platform.
The Result: The program was thoughtfully modified and expanded from 11 to 35 external managers, growing in competitiveness and assets over time.
