We founded MESA with a passion for providing investment solutions, and a commitment to deliver a superior experience to the institutions we serve.
MaryAnn DiMaggio has 28 years of investment experience. MaryAnn has been an investment consultant for 20 years. She spent ten years at Evaluation Associates (EAI), where she was a Principal and Director of Global Fixed Income, covering traditional and alternative investment strategies. In 2011, MaryAnn left EAI to join Clearbrook Global Advisors as Managing Director before co-founding MESA in 2012. She has extensive experience in fixed income and credit markets which also includes five years in middle market lending and asset securitization at Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Company and Lehman Brothers. Prior to that, she was a high yield securities analyst focusing on distressed debt and special situations research at Oppenheimer & Co. From 1987 to 1995, MaryAnn was with J.P. Morgan & Co. where she completed the management training program, spent three years as an internal audit officer and later served in high yield securities sales and trading. She earned her BBA in Finance and MBA in Economics from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York. She holds a FINRA Series 65 license.
Steve Formanek is MESA's Chief Operating and Compliance Officer. He has over 30 years of investment and financial industry experience. Prior to co-founding MESA Investment Consulting, Steve was the Chief Operating Officer at Clearbrook Global Advisors, and prior to that Principal and Chief Operating and Compliance Officer for Evaluation Associates. Steve has extensive experience in information technology and in the day-to-day management and oversight of critical firm functions such as compliance, finance, information technology, marketing and operations. Prior to joining Evaluation Associates, Steve was vice president and director of information systems at Retirement System Group in New York. He has also served as an adjunct instructor of computer science at Norwalk Community and Technical College. Steve earned his MBA in Management Information Systems from University of Bridgeport. He received his BS in Accounting from Shippensburg State University.
